Episode 1 (this episode) we cover the band's formation, the 4 members of this band, and the bulk of the discussion is the influences and peers that helped shape their sound. If you are a fan of ZZ Top, Thin Lizzy, Neurosis, Melvins, High on Fire, and even the Seattle scene of the 90s there is something here for you.
Episode 2 will be a gushing discussion of their discography at a macro level, and Episode 3 will be a track by tack review of Emperor of Sand at a micro level.

Well the dust is still settling from the betrayal that was our System of a Down episode, and it is positively palpable in the air. However, this ravaged warground is the perfect location for the power of Fugazi's "The Argument". Steve, Marc, and Eric spin this 2001 album, discuss DC Hardcore, the Dischord Records scene, the Post-Hardcore genre having a current moment, and the history of Fugazi. Then your hosts dive in to the track-by-track review of this genre-transcending record. And after that experience your hosts are changed. What were once blood stained helmets are now small beanies on their heads. Hate in their hearts? Now compassion. There is only one reasonable next step here and elsewhere---ceasefire.

We had to do a Nu Metal episode.
One hosts lived and breathed it during his teens, a real Jinco Wallet Chain nerd. Another host dabbled in the scene, sometimes to just check on his friend and make sure he wasn't too far gone. A third host was drafted into the No Limit army at the time and was too busy fighting on battles on the Sun Coasts and missed the entire movement back home.
In addition to discussing Toxcity track by track you'll find discussions on Miami Vice, Fargo, Iron Maiden, The Curse, Hed PE, Slipknot, Korn, RIck Rubin, and pizza.

Join the Pod Like A Hole hosts back at the Xmas Cabin for our kind of annual Holiday Special. Marc has a love and knowledge of Disney that only is rivaled by his love of U2 and Steve knew it would be catnip to trick him into doing another holiday special. Eric keeps the fire stoked and earns his pay.
Enjoy the hosts of a certain age counting down their top 5 Animated Disney movies while you pack those last minute presents and to grandmother's house you go. We picked up the pace and knocked out 5 episodes for you in the last two months so that means we are going to take a few weeks off and be back with a one two punch of System of A Down followed by Fugazi.

The first of which is a discography discussion of Faith No More - with the exception of Angel Dust which will have it's own track by track deep dive and was the catalyst for all this Patton talk. This episode covers the Chuck Mosley years, 1989's platinum Real Thing, King For a Day, Album of the Year, Sol Invictus, Jim Martin's fashion choices and Billy Gould's catty swipes. FNM is a cornerstone band for many a record store expat, so you should know what you're getting into here.

Your three hosts have reached the home stretch. The last handful of our favorite albums to review for our "Run the Gamut" season. Steve, Marc and Eric have all had excellent picks, weird ones, and every now and then, one of us shows up with a card up our sleeve. In this case, Eric is the Card Cheat, so to speak.
In this jam packed, bonus sized episode, we change our name to " Pod Em' Enough Rope " and give you the full run down of the Clash discography and its place in punk history, touch on the solo and side work of Joe Strummer and Mick Jones, and then give you the coveted track-by-track analysis of "London Calling". Does this record deserve it's spot on all the Top 100 lists? Is it truly a "must have" for music fans? Or is it a Cadillac oil stain on a supermarket parking lot?
